If you don’t want us producing blogs for your website, for whatever reason, our monthly blogs can be replaced with backlinks (1 for 1). If your website is already content-rich, we may propose to do this anyway. If so, we can optionally assist in providing keyword research + topics as we always recommend that consistent content be produced for your site for best results.

What are the SEO services & why are they important?

These items must be performed on a once-off or infrequent basis to ensure that your website has the best chance at gaining traction. The primary area is called onsite SEO.

Onsite SEO is a broad category of generally more technical SEO items that all website owners should consider. Depending on the state of your website, getting your Onsite SEO up to scratch can be a big job. The audit helps break up the tasks so they can be tackling in order of priority, over time.

In theory, once your onsite SEO is perfect (admittedly, we don’t believe there is such a thing) it does not need to be touched until Google tweaks their algorithm. In practice, it is comprehensive and important, with a non-fixed scope. This is why we have separated it out from our monthly tasks.

As we work on your website, we may uncover certain recommendations that fall out of scope but may impact our ability to get you results. We will highlight these to you as they come up.

At the most basic level, this service is designed to keep your website operational and free from errors.

Google just won’t rank a website that is temperamental, broken or insecure. Of course, your users won’t like this either! For many businesses, a website going down for a day could cost 10000s – we want to do everything we can to minimise this risk.

Citations are local directory listings, like those on the online Yellow Pages website. Yellow Pages is one of the most well-known, but there are 100s of similar directories. Google sees these as legitimacy or trust signals: the more, the better.

Business contact details change, so often we are cleaning up incorrect listings to ensure consistency. This is an important part of an SEO strategy.

Reporting in and of itself will not provide a boost to your ranking, but without data no informed decisions can be made. Reporting keeps us accountable and gives you insight into how your website performs over time.

Ongoing backlinks are one of the more substantial items on this list. Each one involves creating an article and reaching out to reputable websites around Australia & the world to see if they will host this content on their website and link back to your site.

In Google’s eyes, good businesses are talked about by bloggers & other businesses – the intent of gaining a backlink is to represent a referral from another website.

We are careful to procure backlinks from reputable and authoritative websites, as many providers do not and customer websites are penalised accordingly. The rule of thumb is:

Having your website display properly on a mobile device is incredibly important these days. In fact, Google has adopted a mobile first indexing policy, meaning it will use the mobile version of the webpage for ranking and indexing purposes.

Our SEO audit will identify whether or not your website is in fact mobile friendly. If it is not, in some cases there are some simple fixes we can apply. In other cases, we might suggest a refresh of your website, built to the very best web standards and SEO best practice.

Whilst we are not trying to upsell you on building a website, we will in good conscience let you know if we feel a website is needing an overhaul – before you invest into your SEO strategy.

How do I know which plan is right for my business?

If you want to rank well in a highly competitive industry, or if you want to rank quickly, we recommend our larger or custom plans.

The good news is that our SEO services never go to waste, any effort towards SEO is beneficial over time. The smaller plans just may not gain you a significant placement in Google by themselves and will need to be increased eventually.

This is why we recommend you jump in where you can afford and increase the plan as your business grows. When you do secure a good position, it will carry your business to new heights.

SEO generally takes around 3 – 8 months before it begins to make a noticeable improvement. The amount of time is influenced by a number of factors including the relative “health” of your website when we begin, and the level of competition in your space.
